Adopt-a-Thon
Looking for a new feline friend?  Please visit us at our Fall Adopt-a-Thon.  We will have many cats and kittens available for adoption at both Petsmart locations (Hespeler Road & Gateway Park Drive) Septmebr 10-12 during their regular business hours.  Hope to see you there!

B.I.N.G.O.
The Cambridge & District Humane Society receives proceeds from Charity run Bingo's at the Cambridge Bingo Hall.  Our next sessions will be Friday morning sessions in the month of September.  Please come out and play in support of your local shelter!  We can also use volunteers to help us staff these sessions.  If you are interested please contact us.

AECON Industrial - Golf Tournarment
AECON Industrial has chosen the Cambridge & District Humane Society and one of the 6 charities to receive funds raised from this years event.  The 11th annual charitable golf tournament will be held Sunday, September 12th, 2010 at the Grand Valley Golf & Country Club.  Registration starts at noon, with a Shotgun Start at 1:00pm.  Tickets for this event are $100.  For further information please contact Nancy McRobb or Larry Brokenshire 519-653-3200 (ext. 202).

Parrots on the Grand - The Jimmy Buffet Fan Club...
...presents Parrotphest 2010.  Come out for an evening of dancing and great music, featuring The Starlie Steel Band and Headliner, KD Moore.  Friday, September 24th, 2010 @ the Grand Valley Golf Club, Roseville Road.  Doors open at 7pm.  The evening includes a cash bar, late night buffet and a silent auction.  The majority of proceeds raised will benefit the CDHS.  Tickets available at the shelter for $20.

Caring Kids!
We have many special thanks to give out to some amazing kids in and around our community putting special efforts into raising funds for our animals.

• Ephram decided that he did not need to receive gifts for himself at this years' birthday; instead he accepted money and animal supply donations for the animals here at the shelter!  Thank you and Happy Birthday Ephram!
• Emily has spent her summer holidays making bracelets that she has been selling, with the proceeds coming here to the CDHS.  Thank you for being so thoughtful Emily!
• Brooke and Nicole wanted to put their acting to the test.  They starred in their very own play, charged tickets, and brought their earnings to help the homeless animals.  Thank you Brooke and Nicole!
• Eliza, Jamie and Natalie took advantage of the hot weather and held a lemonade sale.  All of their earnings from their hard work was donated to the furry friends waiting for homes.  Thank you for keeping us cool Eliza, Jamie and Natalie!

Nevada Tickets
King & Eagle Super Variety located at 328 King Street East in Preston are now selling Nevada Tickets in support of us.  This constant support will bring in a regular monthly donation to the animals!
